FUL Foods is an early stage startup developing food and beverage products centered around a trademarked carbon negative ingredient ("FUL") featuring key protein and nutrients from microalgae. Your role would be to translate their lab process to an economically feasible design for industrial scale, understanding the environmental impacts of the process and designing a methodology for scaling-up their technology.

MycoTEX develops custom-made products made from compostable mushroom roots directly in 3D. The students will be looking into taking the lab scale concept(s) into a large-scale plant design for the production of textiles from fungi, understanding of the economic and environmental implications of the process and how to tackle potential scale-up issues.
