Experiments for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) platforms experience extreme temperature fluctuations that can degrade quality of results and lifespan, risking mission failures. This project focuses on creating a robust temperature conditioning system to maintain required temperatures, enhance experiment lifetime, ensure mission reliability, and optimize energy use for efficient temperature regulation.

Rocket engine turbines are high power density machines that are required to bring the propellants from the tank into the engine. Have you ever wondered what the recipe for designing such a turbine looks like: “just add water?” We are counting on you to provide us with a multidisciplinary menu!

NEBULA – Xplorer is a small X-ray observatory to invetigate objects like Cugnus-X-1 . NEBULA – Xplorer just went through a system requirements review and preliminary design review for the Space segment, but the ground segment and operations have not been worked out in detail to have a full mission design ready to proceed.

Electric aviation will come before 2030. Europe wants to be ready. Develop a European strategy to rollout a network with charging solutions. Grid, batteries, anything. Include a strategy for the battery lifetime and logistics. Many initiatives on national level are ongoing, but there is no European strategy.

This case explores scaling biogenic and Engineered Living Composites (ELCs) for sustainable aerospace interiors. Airbus aims to address upscaling, supply chain modeling, and mass engineering challenges. The goal is to co-develop a comprehensive, cross-disciplinary technology roadmap bridging lab-scale innovation with industrial feasibility, ensuring sustainability, operational efficiency, and readiness for pilot-level production in aerospace applications.
